Three days, two night itinerary to Port Stephens

Day 1

  • 11:30 Arrive at Oakvale Farm to see koalas, reptiles and Australian native animals and have lunch.
  • 13:30 Depart for Anna Bay
  • 14:00 4WD Sand dune adventure
  • 15:30 Travel to Nelson Bay and drive to the top of Gan Gan lookout for spectacular views of the area.
  • 17:00 Check in at accommodation.
  • 19:00 Dinner at resort

Day 2

  • 08:30 After breakfast, depart for Tomaree Headland at Shoal Bay. Enjoy an energetic walk to the top of the headland for breathtaking views along the coast. Over winter you may even see the whales passing by.
  • 10:30 Dolphin watch
  • 12:30 Brewery tour at Murrays Brewery and Port Stephens Winery followed by wine / beer tasting and Aussie BBQ lunch
  • 14:30 Hand feed sharks and rays at the Australian Shark and Ray Centre
  • 16:00 Back to accommodation for free time or shopping in Nelson Bay
  • Dinner at a local restaurant in Port Stephens. List of restaurants and recommendations are available from the Visitor Information Centre in Nelson Bay.

Day 3

  • 08:00 Breakfast at accommodation
  • 10:00 Experience the thrill of parasailing with Port Stephens Parasailing departing from Nelson Bay waterfront.
  • Depart for Sydney
