|
Date: Sunday, 19th october
Venue: Fly Point, Nelson Bay
Contact Details: Pro Dive Nelson Bay, 49814331 or prodive@hunterlink.net.au. Website: www.prodivenelsonbay.com
Pro Dive Nelson Bay’s Narki Gnome dive club is raising awareness and donations for breast cancer research in our own unique underwater way. BCNA Silhouettes will be placed along the waterline at Fly Point, with divers taking them underwater for the first ever underwater mini-field! Followed by snacks raffles and a BBQ, it will be a very fun ‘pink’ day for divers, snorkelers and spectators.
Pro Dive Nelson Bay’s ‘Narki Gnome’ dive club is raising awareness and donations to support the Breast Cancer Network of Australia (BCNA) in a unique ‘Narki Gnome’ way, by hosting the very first underwater mini-field at Fly Point on 19 Oct.
From 10 am, BCNA silhouettes will be placed along the waterline at Fly Point. At High tide, 11.20am, divers and snorkelers will enter the water with a silhouette for photo opportunity. Then divers will take some ladies underwater to be photographed by local marine scientist and underwater photographer, Dave Harasti.
Following the underwater scene Bakers Delight will be providing finger buns as snacks for a donation towards BCNA. Divers are invited for a ‘pink’ single boat dive at 1.30pm. A BBQ, raffle and hair dares will be conducted at Pro Dive Nelson Bay from 3pm with prizes donated by Aquanaut Australia, Tusa, Bakers Delight and Mary Kay.
Why are we hosting this event? Members of the Narki Gnome dive club form highly valued friendships through their diving activities, trips away and social events. When a club member was recently diagnosed with cancer the Narki Gnomes wanted to support their friend and raise community awareness of this important cause. For more information about BCNA please see www.bcna.org.au
We welcome all spectators, certified divers and snorkelers to join us for this fun day! TIME: 10.30am to 5:00pm
COST: Gold coin donation to Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA)
