Set on 4 acres of bushland, The Retreat Port Stephens is a unique tourism development. Backing directly onto the largest living sand dune system in the Southern Hemisphere, The Retreat has a total of 10 buildings spread through the bushland. This means there is plenty of room to move and each building has its own sense of privacy and coziness. With the facilities like the covered BBQ areas, inground salt water swimming pool, camp fires and games room, guests can feel free to relax with family and friends. There is also room for boats, trailers etc. so that people are able to have their special needs catered for.

We also offer breakfast packs $4pp - $10pp and lunch/dinner packs $6pp-$13pp only with prior arrangement. Menu's are available on request.

The Retreat is pet friendly with 2 pet enclosures close to the Cottages. There is a kennel in each with bowls and well shaded. Each enclosure allows for your pet to run around and feel free while being well contained and close by. We do ask guests to bring their pets blankets and food. There are plenty of places to take your pet while on your holiday such as to Stockton Beach and on the sand dunes. We do have a pet policy which is available upon request.

The Retreat is the perfect place to let your kids loose while you relax and enjoy the tranquil setting. We have a great playgound area, large grassy areas for ball games and the games room for a game of pool, table tennis or fuse ball. You can also bring along there bikes and ride around the property and along the many bike tracks in the area.

The Retreat is the ideal setting for Weddings. You can have your Wedding in the Gardens with a beautiful bush back ground or out on the spectacular Sand dunes and then your reception and entertainment onsite. No need to hire cars or guests travelling home after your reception.
