There's whole fish, outstanding restaurant quality fillets, prawns, crabs, oysters, lobsters and scallops all piled high on mountains of ice,. There are two lobster tanks. Lobsters, taken alive from the tank and cooked daily. Customers hand-select their fish. "Doddsy" as he is affectionately known by the locals then cleans, scales and fillets your fish and hands it over with a smile and a yarn.
At any one time there are generally at least 3 or 4 different types of prawns on offer. many of these are sourced locally from the Myall lakes, Forster, Tuggerah or up the coast from the Clarence River. FRESH; NOT FROZEN. THAT'S WHAT IT'S ALL ABOUT! Their business is renowned for the quality and size of the oysters sourced through local growers in Port Stephens and as far away as Swan Bay and Wallis Lakes. There is no compromising on quality!
