EcoNetwork Port Stephens proudly presents the Sustainable Futures Festival 2022 with a program full of activities including art competitions, a movie screening and weekend festival. 

aRRRRRt AWARDS :: Entries open 4 June - 5 August.

A special collaboration between EcoNetwork Port Stephens and Artisan Collective Port Stephens presents the aRRRRRt Awards, part of EcoNetwork’s Sustainable Futures Festival.

We’re encouraging artists of all ages to put the R into art: rethink, reduce, reuse, repurpose or recycle - and you’re invited to enter visual media of your choice such as painting, wearable art, photography, ceramics, multi-media, jewellery and more.

Categories are - Peoples Choice, Open, Secondary School and Primary School with a combined cash pool of $1000 and other prizes.

Movie Screening River :: Thursday 28 July.

A film by Jennifer Peedom. A cinematic and musical odyssey that explores the remarkable relationship between humans and rivers. Written by Robert Macfarlane with music by Richard Tognetti and the Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO). Also featuring music by Jonny Greenwood and Radiohead, narration by Willem Dafoe.

$20 per person and includes one free candy bar selection and a chance at the lucky door prize.

Nelson Bay Cinema commencing at 6.30pm (please arrive 30mins prior).

Sustainable Futures Festival Day :: September 11 starting at 10am.

In partnership with local communities, environment groups and businesses, EcoNetwork Port Stephens is excited to host a special event for everyone to come along and experience, enjoy, learn and socialise.

There will be food vans, live music, eco-friendly homewares and innovative products.

Get hands on and explore workshops and demonstrations, educational activities including a scavenger hunt, mystery treasure chest and competitions. Build a worm-farm and construct your own solar panel.
