A festival of taste and treble!
Now in its 15th year, "Tastes at the Bay” invites you to tantalise your tastebuds with fun, food, wine and jazz in the Nelson Bay CBD. November 3rd and 4th, get your feet tapping and your taste buds dancing at this popular annual bayside bash!
Its FREE ENTRY so get your groove on with some top entertainment from The FruiTTrees, Steph Russell Trio, Charlotte Rose Duo, Blue Suede Boppers, and Rehab Brass Band, plus many more! Enjoy food stalls, music from Local and Hunter Valley wines, kids activities, craft beer from Murrays Brewery, fresh local seafood, street entertainment and more "yum yum, sip sip, shooby-do-wops" than you can poke a stick at! Plus learn a trick or two from top local Chefs Ben Way, Ludovic Poyer, Michael Jenkins and many more at our Cooking Demonstration stage.
It all starts on Friday night 2nd November with a Winemakers Dinner. Enjoy a 4-course meal with matched wines overlooking the stunning Nelson Bay Golf Course. Craig Stansborough, Chief Winemaker of Grant Burge Wines will be your host for the evening. Contact the Golf Club direct to book.
One of the featured events is the "Tastes at the Bay" Jazz Luncheon Cruise aboard Moonshadow IV on Saturday 3rd November. Enjoy a glass of Peppertree Wines on arrival, 3 course luncheon, and live toe tapping Jazz music. Local and Hunter Valley wines will be available as well as other favourite tipples. The cruise departs from D'Albora Marinas at 12noon and returns at 2.30pm. Book Now.
Back for more this year is the "Tasters Trail" a progressive afternoon at leisure which includes a taster plate and accompanying beverage at each of the 5 restaurants. Tickets to begin your food trail are available for either 3.30pm or 4.30pm. Starting at Sandpipers following on to Nigronis, Sienna's, Evviva and Paper Rose Cafe. $59 per person.
Introducing "Munch & Move" this year, for those that like to venture further afield. Including 3 restaurants, this year we start at Mavericks, continue on to Valhalla and finish at Murrays Brewery, all by return coach and including a signature dish and beverage at each venue. $45 per person.
