The renowned Port Stephens events, Love Sea Food and Tastes of the Bay, have joined in 2019 to create one of the biggest events on the winter calendar in Port Stephens.
When it comes to seafood in Port Stephens both residents and visitors alike are spoiled for choice. From fish, prawns and oysters to crabs, lobsters, and shellfish the mouth-watering quality and range of seafood is unique to this region.
This August we will celebrate our coastal cuisine with a Gala Dinner, Seafood Lunch and Dinner specials, cooking classes and the finale event of the month-long celebration, the Tastes Port Stephens food, wine and jazz weekend.

Tastes Port Stephens is a weekend festival of taste and treble. The
streets of Nelson Bay will be taken over by trumpets and saxophones with
fantastic local seafood and delights from local providores accompanied
by wine and live jazz. Taste fresh local oysters, join a cooking
demonstration or get on board for the Tastes Jazz Luncheon Cruise.

Local restaurants and cafes will be offering seafood inspired lunch and dinner specials with a different theme each week to showcase the fresh seasonal seafood, straight from the fishing boats and farmers of Port Stephens.

Learn how to take your next seafood meal from casual to gourmet! Join one of the cooking classes being held throughout August at leading restaurants in Port Stephens. From oysters, crustaceans and fish there is sure to be a cooking class to inspire you.
Delve into behind the scenes of fish farming. During the Barramundi Farm Tour you will see the fish as they move through their lifecycle from fingerlings right through to a market ready product. The DPI Fisheries Institute will open its doors to the wonderful world of aquaculture, food production and the mysteries of the underwater creatures that make Port Stephens home.
Gather your friends and family for some Love Sea Food Tastes Port Stephens family fun. Bring the whole family, kick off your thongs and enjoy a fun-filled session of barefoot bowls, beers and oysters or you might prefer some fish 'n' chips with fun and interactive cooking demonstrations.
Members of the collective have been busy working on creating marine-inspired works in a wide variety of styles including pottery, glass, print, painting, photography and sculpture, which will be shown as part of the SALTED exhibition in the gallery at d'Albora Marina throughout August.
