Destination Port Stephens (DPS) is working closely with Tourism Australia and Destination NSW to bring you up to date travel information. We are following the advice and regulations set out by the Australian Government, the NSW Department of Health and the NSW Government

Please follow any stay at home movements and lockdowns for your State, LGA (Local Government Area) of residence and / or that of your proposed destination. Restrictions and regulations are changing constantly so be sure to check the latest updates.

A roadmap to reopening will commence on Monday 11 October in the three stages below.

  • 70% full vaccination target reopening starts for fully vaccinated people – expected to be Monday 11 October. Travel holidays between regional local government areas only are permitted (except Central Coast, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Blue Mountains).
  • 80% full vaccination target further easing of restrictions for fully vaccinated people – expected to be Monday 25 October. Travel for holidays permitted across all NSW (not permitted for people who are not fully vaccinated).Travel between Greater Sydney (including Central Coast, Wollongong, Shellharbour and Blue Mountains) and regional LGAs is allowed from November 1.

Online purchases for travel are available, however, we recommend at this uncertain time that you contact the business directly or the Visitor Information Centre on 1800 808 900. Please plan your visit and we recommend booking tours and dining experiences in advance.
