Tomaree Coastal Walking Tour

Join a NPWS ranger for a peaceful morning walk along the coast in Tomaree National Park, near Port Stephens. This beautiful stretch of coastline is known for whale watching, but it’s also a wildlife hotspot for other iconic Aussie animals.

Look out for koalas, sea eagles, dolphins, fur seals and sea turtles as you walk. From May to November, fin-slapping and breaching whales can be seen from a number of great vantage points and lookouts along the track.

Your experienced guide will give you some helpful tips for successfully spotting and identifying the park’s majestic residents. When you’re not scanning the horizon for signs of life, you can relish in the beauty of the rugged coastal landscape.

Don’t forget to bring binoculars in whale watching season and a camera to capture the jaw-dropping views. Please be prepared for all types of weather as the conditions in this area can be unpredictable and extreme.
