Ceremony

If you dream of a wedding ceremony on the beach or in a public reserve in Port Stephens, you will need a Council permit. Bookings are for a maximum period of 2 hours and for the ceremony only. Unfortunately no receptions are permitted on Council managed land.

Bookings can be made by visiting the Council's website at www.portstephens.nsw.gov.au to complete the online application form. Once your form is submitted with the administration fee, confirmation of a permit is provided within 7 working days.

We have lovely weather here in Port Stephens but we are blessed with rain too, so it’s always a good idea to have a wet weather backup if you’re planning to get married outdoors. There are many reception venues that offer a ceremony location within the property and a wet weather alternative.
