From the trawler to the table, your catch of the day is as fresh as it gets. Port Stephens is renowned for sensational seafood all year round with Hunter River estuaries and Myall Lakes and River bursting with sweet prawns and plump oysters, Blue Swimmer and Mud crabs and lobsters. This August we will celebrate coastal cuisine with live cooking demonstrations and tastings, educational talks and displays, oyster and tasting shucking.

Gala Dinner

Friday 25 August - Broughtons at the Bay, D’Albora Marina Nelson Bay

From prawns, fish and oysters to crabs, lobsters and shellfish the mouth-watering quality and range of seafood is unique to this region and one of the reasons we attract top chefs from around the world.

This celebration of coastal cuisine begins with freshly shucked oyster by the grower accompanied by a glass of First Creek Wines Sparkling served upon arrival.

Leading local chefs Ben Way (Little Beach Boathouse), Ludovic Poyer (The Poyers) and Matt Keys (The Little Nel) will prepare a three-course Port Stephens seafood delight whilst all perfectly match to First Creek Wines’. Throughout the evening each chef will introduce their dish being served sharing their inspiration for their creation.

Farmers of the Sea

Saturday 12 August - D'ALBORA Marina, Nelson Bay

10am - 2pm

Oysters have been farmed within the pristine waterways of Port Stepehens by generations of families. Whilst they can be an acquired taste, there is no doubt that we prodcue the frestest and tastiest oysters along the New South Wales coast.

Come and join our Farmers of the Sea and learn all about our local oyster industry, the difference in taste based on location and the all-important secret to shucking.

Love Sea Food 'FISH & FUN' Weekend (Saturday 26 & Sunday 27 August)

Hosted at D’Albora Marina Nelson Bay on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th this will be the signature weekend with a program of activities from Celebrity & Local Chefs providing cooking demonstrations and masterclasses, seafood tastings, Kids Fun Zone of interactive displays, touch tanks and fish feeding.
