King of the Box 2018

The KING of the BOX is a unique surfing contest event that will attract more than 80 surfers from across the country.

The contest is a 1-day event across a weekend in early September, either 01/02 or 08/09.

“It’s really established itself as one of the best “little” 1-day events on the Australian circuit, and the wedging nature of the wave draws in surfers from right around the country”.

For the last four years Box Beach, in the picturesque surrounds of Port Stephens in NSW with possibly the best left wedge waves in the world on its day!!

Organisers will call the event “ON” the Tuesday afternoon prior once it's established that the correct amount of swell will be available on that weekend.
