Ocean Rockpool Nature Tour - Fishermans Bay
Did you know that rockpools might just be the most absorbing places on the beach? Come on this 2hr tour near Tomaree National Park and find out more. An NPWS guide will help you search for the bizarre creatures that survive in this dynamic and diverse marine environment.
Search for cunjevoi or 'sea squirt', Port Jackson shark egg cases, cuttlefish, crabs, beautiful shells like limpets and zebra shells as well as sponges and algae. Look out for bottlenose dolphins, as they're often seen off the rock shelves swimming and playing in large groups. Keep your eyes peeled for shorebirds, like the pied and sooty oystercatcher as they feed on the rock platforms and pool edges.
