Why are dolphins important?

Dolphins are an iconic species of Port Stephens. Come along and learn more about the populations that exist both within the Port and outside the heads.

For the past 4 years, Lisa has been monitoring the dolphin population in Port Stephens and spearheading a long term photo-ID study of these animals.
  • Short-Beaked Common Dolphin Dr David Scott, Dolphin Swim Australia
Dolphin Swim Australia was granted the first and only permit to take people swimming with dolphins in the open ocean in NSW. The second part of the program will be a summary of the research conducted by Dolphin Swim Australia.
