Whale Tales - whale watching talks

Join our free headland whale watching talks to learn about humpback whales and where to spot them in Port Stephens.

Whale Tales is a series of free talks at Boat Harbour and Fingal Bay presented by local marine conservationist Jeannie Lawson, supported by Port Stephens Council.

Whale Tales talks will be held at 10:30am, 11:30am, 12:30pm and 1:30pm each day:

  • Saturday 26 June — Boat Harbour, Kinglsey Drive — from the amenities block near Boat Harbour beach, follow the whale signs to ‘The Cairn’.
  • Saturday 3 July — Barry Park, Fingal Bay

Come along on the day, no need to RSVP. Whale Tales may be postponed in wet weather. Please head to or visit this page closer to the date for updates.
