Cool Summer Art Exhibition, The Gallery Waterfront, Tea Gardens

The plight of things ‘in the wild’ is a focus for many at present, and a major art exhibition opening in January in Tea Gardens takes on that evocative theme, as well as helping to raise funds for rescue group Wildlife In Need of Care (WINC).

The Cool Summer Art Exhibition will unveil widely varied and fascinating works by the renowned not-for-profit community art group Galleries in the Gardens (GIG).

Visitors are encouraged to vote in the People’s Choice award and enter a fabulous raffle.

The exhibition runs Saturday 11 – Friday 31 January, 10am to 4pm six days (closed Tuesdays) at The Gallery, 81 Marine Drive, waterfront on the Tea Gardens café strip.

Around 50 local artists belong to GIG. In 2017 GIG volunteers revamped the building and gardens known now as The Gallery, and just after opening it attracted a Parliamentary Certificate of Recognition as an outstanding community service example.

The Gallery is a welcoming place to visit, to check out the latest works by GIG’s talented artists, and take a coffee into its shady garden.

It is at 81 Marine Drive, Tea Gardens, diagonally opposite the ferry wharf and on the waterside café strip.
